Crystal Creamery is currently looking for a Cost Analyst

Position Summary

Reporting to the SR Manager of Supply Chain, the Cost Analyst will be responsible for analytics, general ledger, cost accounting, ERP maintenance, period close and reporting activities. The Cost Analyst will work closely with the SR Manager of Supply Chain Finance Manager, corporate accounting/finance team/sales, hourly associates, and supply chain management. We use SAP for general ledger, purchase orders and accounts payable. Bills of materials, inventory ledger, and warehouse management are on other platforms. Cost analysts perform various cost-related functions in an organization. Make estimation of new and proposed costs of production. 

Requirements

Duties/Essential Job Functions 

§ Collect and analyze information to determine costs of business activities such as the purchase of raw materials and costs of production process

§ Make analysis of collected information as well as keep records of their findings and results

§ Analyze changes on the methods of production, goods and services provided, and even raw materials to know how they affect cost

§ Analyze and prepare reports periodically for the difference between actual production costs and standard costs

§ Maintain the documentation of data and any statistical arrangement in cost analysis

§ Secure accounting related documentation such as financial statements, journal entries, 

§ Identify possible opportunities for improving the efficiency of production with the main aim of making profit

§ Assist in the preparation of the annual budget to make sure that standard costs for all productions are calculated in line with budget consideration

§ Assess the company’s scale of preference to analyze the opportunity costs of given operations

§ Advise the management in terms of financial issues

§ Provide the management with reports containing the factors that affect cost or profit of goods and services

§ Maintain accurate job aids for all duties assigned.

Qualifications:

§

§ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage or manufacturing industry as an Accountant or Analyst. Dairy experience a plus.

§ Inquisitive nature with enthusiasm for querying, analyzing, and presenting data.

§ Strong numerical/financial skill set and business acumen.

§ The ability to influence cross-functional team members.

§ Prefer experience with SAP, AS/400 applications, and report writer.

§ Superior Excel and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

§ Great attention to detail.

§ Ability to work independently or as a team member.

§ Self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to drive positive results in a complex and changing environment

§ Effective organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage challenges professionally and effectively.
