Job Description

Information about the Role, Line of Business, and Team:

Primary responsibilities for the QA Automation Analyst include test planning, design and development of test cases, test data development, maintaining and executing scalable, high performance automated test scripts.

You will utilize test tools to create automated test suites that are robust, performant and reusable, enabling your Agile team to deliver high-quality releases more efficiently. As an Agile team member, you will collaborate closely with development, product, and other cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality products.

QA Automation Engineer

What you will do:

• Analyze business requirements for testability, developing requirements into test scenarios, determining priority for test scenarios, create execution plans and creating scripts that run testing functions automatically
• Design automated tests to validate applications by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically
• Analyze and understand requirements, develop a test strategy to translate test scenarios into test scripts for Regression and Smoke testing
• Responsible for automated test data development and ensuring adherence to standard practices and procedures
• Document defects and track them to resolution using defect management tools
• Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to find the best methods for solving problems in apps and systems
• Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades as needed
• Participate on an Agile meetings and work with the team to deliver best-in-class technical testing solutions
• Partner with Developers and DevOps Engineers to include automated test in CI/CD pipelines
• Evaluate existing processes and procedures and making recommendations for improvement; designing prototypes and proof of concepts that best fit business needs. Reduce or eliminate process redundancies and inefficiencies
• Document in a thorough, simple, clear concise manner

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline, or the equivalent relevant experience
• 3 years of experience in Test Automation (developing and executing test scripts). TOSCA is a plus
• Experience in creating and implementing test strategies and detailed test plans
• Experience in TSQL to query the database
• Experience working with CI/CD cycle, Agile methodology and DevOps pipeline
• Experience with QTest and Mobile Test Automation is a plus
