Salary range is 60k to 80k,Commensurate with experience

We are currently searching for a Quality l Manager to join our team in Tabor City, NC. The ideal candidate will be have experience with Quality Management Systems and auditing to obtain and retain certifications.

Purpose of Position:

The quality manager position develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). Assist with coordinating CRP’s Quality Management Systems. Ensure that the system helps continuously improve CRP products and service quality. Ensure that CRP Industries Quality Management Systems meets the requirements of the TS16949 Standard.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Quality Management System (QMS). Defining the structure, responsibilities, procedures, processes for implementing and coordinating the QMS.
  • Quality Assurance (QA). Planning systematic activities to provide adequate confidence that the products will meet with the requirements of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standard.
  • Quality Control (QC). Providing techniques and performing activities focus on controlling processes and materials to fulfill requirements for quality.
  • Calibration & Maintenance. Ensuring the measurements used in controlling quality are calibrated and traceable. Ensuring the production equipment and devices are maintained in a timely manner.
  • Test & Inspection. Overseeing, reviewing the test and inspection activities.
  • Training. Providing training or subject matter that supports production employee skills training and education in quality-related topics, may include training for suppliers.
  • Auditing. Managing the activities involved with auditing products, processes, suppliers, and the QMS to ensure the CRP’s AAE objectives, policies, and procedures relative to quality are followed.
  • Continuous Improvement. Working with production functions to enhance the awareness of ownership for products quality, lowering total costs of products and satisfying customers.
  • Problem Solving. Working where needed to apply expertise, such as tools of quality control, root cause analysis, process approach, and risk management etc.
  • Supplier Quality. Overseeing the activities that ensure suppliers performance and incoming parts and materials are acceptable.
  • Warranty. Working with CS, Engineering, and Technical with customer complaint, labor claim, and returns. 
  •  Relationship. Dealing with CRP’s AAE external quality relative parties.
  • Safety. Assisting management in establishing OSHA relative documentations.

Additional Responsibilities

· Assist department heads in preparing for quarterly management review meetings;

· Run meetings on non-conforming products

· Assist with evaluating key suppliers

· Perform internal audits

· Interview departments to create process flow charts

· Put together monthly quality summary report to management

· Assist with filling customer requests for certificates

· Ability to travel up to 50% between Tabor City and Conway Plants

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 5 years relevant work experience with at least 1 year of managerial experience in an manufacturing industry or any combination of education and experience - ASQ Experience considered a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite with advance MS Excel/Access
  • ERP experience with the ability to report, analyze and provide an executive summary
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement throughout the plants
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to interview individuals associated with audit subject matter, as well as communicate findings to management.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

· Daily use of wrists, hands, fingers, arms to use computer and phone. Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering and giving simple complex information to a group. May have to move boxes over 50 lbs. when reaching for, training and investigating parts and/or stand on feet for long period of time.
