CrownePlaza Northbrook is Hiring a Sales Manager OEM Near Northbrook, IL

Description

Sales manager would be under the direction of the Director of Sales

· Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food, and beverage services, etc.

· Initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients

· Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts

· Conduct property site visits and answer questions

· Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)

· Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals

· Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts

· Move throughout property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.

· Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing account

· Prepare proposals & contracts

· Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.

· Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.

· Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.

· Represent hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits which may involve bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.

· Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.

· Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce groups and convention business, to include room sales, food and beverage sales, catering/banquet services.

· Attend on site and off-site sales blitzes & hotel tours.

· Attend outside networking functions such as luncheons, chamber events, or other community/business-based networking receptions

· Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure

· Soliciting new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.

· Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

· Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

· Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

JOB OVERVIEW: Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints. Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
