Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer 2 is responsible for contributing to the electrical design, development, and calculations of assigned manufacturing projects related to relay panels, control buildings, and medium voltage switchgears.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review customer specifications to create drawings and bill of materials for assigned projects within budget, including the selection of parts
- Design single line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams for power distribution, including network diagrams for communication and automation.
- Design and perform load calculations for power distribution systems.
- Work with Purchasing and Vendors to receive quotes and lead times to complete design.
- Provide engineering support to production departments during all stages of manufacturing.
- Coordinate with customers regarding specification/design questions and clarifications.
- Work with Lead Engineer and assist with other project tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or related software.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- At least 2-4 years of related work experience in electrical power systems.
- MEP Design experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.
Salary : $75,000 - $86,500
