Description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for contributing to the electrical design, development, and calculations of assigned manufacturing projects related to relay panels, control buildings, and medium voltage switchgears.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review customer specifications to create drawings and bill of materials for assigned projects within budget, including the selection of parts
• Design single line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams for power distribution, including network diagrams for communication and automation.
• Design and perform load calculations for power distribution systems.
• Work with Purchasing and Vendors to receive quotes and lead times to complete design. 
• Provide engineering support to production departments during all stages of manufacturing.
• Coordinate with customers regarding specification/design questions and clarifications.
• Work with Lead Engineer and assist with other project tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• MEP Design experience a plus.
• Electrical Engineer 2: At least 2-4 years of related work experience in electrical power systems.
• Electrical Engineer 3: At least 4-7 years of related work experience in electrical power systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.

Salary Information:

• Electrical Engineer 2: $75,000-$86,500/year
• Electrical Engineer 3: $86,000-$98,000/year
