Crossroads Health provides a continuum of quality life-changing behavioral health and specialized chemical dependency treatment services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families. As a leader in the behavioral health field, we offer a vast array of programs and services that evaluate, educate, strengthen and support thousands of children, adults and their families each year.
Due to programmatic expansion, our Intensive Family Services Department has added the position of Community Based Family Counselor. This community-based position offers diagnostic assessments and counseling within the home and community setting to youth and families with increased risk factors, multi-system involvement and/or needing a higher level of care than Outpatient. The Family Counselor will maintain a low case load, work both individually as well as part of a team. This position will include a generous amount of clinical supervision, trauma training, support and guidance for staff, allowing for strong clinical development and licensure supervision. This position is eligible to receive a $4000 SIGN-ON BONUS. Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate as well as $100 per week community-based stipend.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Represent the agency as a lead staff member of an intensive team, providing clinical services to at-risk children and families.
- Family therapy with some crisis response, individual therapy, diagnostic assessments and group therapy.
- Service provisions include a primary goal to aid in individual and family healing.
- Coordinate care with other social services providers and systems within Lake County.
Position requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling.
- LPC/LSW required, LISW/LPCC preferred.
- 2 years' experience in the mental health field with knowledge of child development, behavior management, skill development and parenting/discipline skills, and clinical issues is preferred.
- Flexible hours.
- Must have an acceptable driving record (4 pts. or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.
