Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation

The Crossmore Law Office is searching for associate attorneys to join the firm. A well-established firm in Ithaca, NY, The Crossmore Law Office has a broad practice across diverse areas, including commercial litigation and a specialty in bankruptcy. This position offers exposure to all practice areas, professional growth, and competitive, commensurate short and long-term rewards.

As an associate, you will produce high quality legal work, be involved in all phases of the litigation of cases, proactively manage a diverse caseload, and establish collaborative relationships with clients, fellow associates and staff. Over time, a critical component of the role will be to develop and generate new clients for the firm.

A diverse range of applicant profiles with different levels of experience will be considered. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a superior focus on high quality, timely work product.

Qualified candidate profiles include:

1.) Experienced candidates who are admitted in New York State (or who can waive in) and have professional experience across multiple practice areas. Experienced attorneys with exposure to commercial litigation, with deposition, motion practice and oral argument experience are ideal candidates.

2.) Recent graduates who have sat for the bar, have solid legal internship experience and who have a desire to learn and develop.

Important competencies include: Ability to establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients. Motivation to professionally develop and learn. Ability to assist in the aggressive development of business for the firm. Drive for success in resolution of all cases, and zeal for participation in trials and handling appeals.
