ChildcareCRM is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions that delight our customers and are easy for the team to maintain. You will work with multiple team members to define software requirements and take the lead on software projects.

In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. If you also have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient, well-tested code
• Be a persistent, creative problem-solver
• Work collaboratively with others to achieve goals
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Review and debug code
• Stay on the leading edge of development practices
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Document development phases
• Ensure knowledge and software remains up-to-date with latest technologies

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• Experience using automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Cypress, Jest)
• Experience using MVC frameworks like Symfony
• Experience using reactive Javascript frameworks like VueJS, React, or Angular
• Knowledge of PHP, Javascript, and Typescript programming languages
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
• Experience or familiarity with cloud-based development (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
