Full Job Description

Overview:
We are in immediate need of an Experienced Security Install Technician. The Technician will travel to the customer's locations to install or repair Access Control, IP Video Surveillance, and Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems. We are looking for an experienced person who will briefly work under the direct supervision of a Senior Field Technician with a rapid migration path to self-supervision as accomplishments warrant. The work is challenging and diverse and we provide services to some of the top high-end commercial customers in the Ohio market.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Perform security installations that include Access Control, IP Video Surveillance, and Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems
• Coordinate with staff to ensure availability of materials and equipment
• Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting issues and problems
• Inspect quality of finished projects to ensure conformation of all specifications and requirements
• Program and test installed security systems and train customers as required
• Support Critical Protection Services business development and sales team in a technical capacity to grow the opportunity pipeline and win sales
• Continually learn new products, upgrades, and software programs related to low voltage systems
• Represent Protegis in a professional manner at all times
• Abide by OSHA regulations and use protective equipment as required

Skills and Specifications:

• 1 years prior experience in installing comparable systems at customers locations: this need not be security/surveillance systems but it needs to be a comparable type of process (like installing network systems)
• Any experience a plus with installation or troubleshooting IP Video Surveillance (analog and IP based; Avigilon a plus ), Access Control (S2 experience a plus), and Intrusion Detection (Honeywell experience a plus)
• Knowledge or ability to quickly learn connector termination and relay configurations
• Any practical experience with Internet and Networking commercial systems (Ubiquiti experience a plus)
• Good interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication
• Must be able to work independently or on a team at locations in and around
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and find effective solutions
• Must have a clean driving and criminal record and successfully pass a drug test; you will need to be licensed for this position and MUST have a clean background.

Compensation:

• Competitive based on experience
