We are seeking a mission-focused DevOps Engineer to support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Denver, Colorado!

***ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED***

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team to create and secure Cloud-based domains and systems on C2S from prototype to operations. This exciting opportunity is on a new program for cloud computing technologies that aims to modernize capabilities by leveraging commercial innovation in national security.

Our ideal candidate will have perience and proven successes utilizing DevSecOps frameworks and tools. Familiarity into deploying into pipelines and integrating various tools together to build pipelines is a big bonus! 

Qualifications

Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Utilize IaC concepts to create automated cloud-based environments
  • Communicate with Developers and Customers to refine and revector networking solutions
  • Build and maintain a secure continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline in across multiple environments and domains 
  • Establish best practices for source control, build, integration, automated test, security scanning, and delivery of applications 
  • Work with Developers and SREs to ensure the end-to-end delivery of solutions 
  • Automate development and operations processes to ensure reliability and repeatability 
  • Assist in building Infrastructure as Code and automating Configuration Management

Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

  • An active TS/SCI with a CI polygraph
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies
  • Experience with Dockerization and Container Management
  • Experience with Agile software development using Java
  • Possess a technical background in software development or SecDevOps 
  • Experience with GitLab, BitBucket, GitHub Enterprise or similar source repository 
  • Experience with GitLab for continuous integration 
  • Experience with Nexus or similar artifact repository 
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform or similar configuration management technology 
  • Experience with ArgoCD or similar continuous delivery technology 
  • Experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform 
  • Experience with AWS common services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM
  • Experience developing applications with modern COTS and FOSS technologies

Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

  • Familiarity or experience with Cloud architecture and infrastructures - AWS or C2S preferred
  • Knowledge in creating, utilizing, and supporting IaC platforms
  • Experience deploying into and configuring Kubernetes environments
  • Familiarity and/or experience with Rancher Clusters
  • Familiarity and/or experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Frameworks
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other government agencies
  • Demonstrated experience with building DevOps pipelines for enterprise systems
  • Demonstrated experience in development of microservice based architectures
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud computing and hybrid on premises solutions 
  • Demonstrated experience with security / software supply chain scanning 
  • Demonstrated experience with automated test, static code analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with local and remote team and technical stakeholders
  • AWS certification (Developer, DevOps, Architect, etc.)
  • Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification (Security ) 

Security Clearance Level

  • TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph

Certification

  • IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security , CISSP, or CASP)

Work Schedule

  • Full-time onsite at a designated facility

Pay Rate

  • The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $156,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
