Crestwood Operations, LLC is Hiring a Plant Operator I Near Arrow (Keene, ND

SUMMARY

Operate midstream oil, water & gas gathering plant. Duties include managing tank levels, operating pumps, monitoring outbound pipelines, managing truck loading/offloading operations, operating SWD injection well(s) as well as logging daily activities and operational changes. Perform facility walkarounds multiple times per shift. Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspection tasks within the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS will include the following:

  • Technical ability to learn oil, water and gas gathering operations.
  • Basic working knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, and compressors.
  • Ability to utilize process instrumentation, metering and trending to identify variances from normal operating conditions and make adjustments and setpoint changes as needed.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams is recommended.
  • Ability to perform basic Lockout/Tagout procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Ability to prepare JSEA, Hot Work, and Ground Disturbance permits.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures in plant operations.
  • Willing and able to work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Complete operator logs/reports and identify items outside acceptable limits. 
  • Complete shift change notes and conduct proper relief operator handoff communications. 
  • Maintain clean facilities. 
  • Possess the ability to explain flow through facilities; perform start-up and shutdown procedures of various pieces of equipment.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and perform troubleshooting to identify triggers (root cause(s) of discrepancies/shutdowns).
  • Understand basic engineering principles.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current/valid driver’s license is required.
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe PDF, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & Teams is strongly recommended.  
  • Basic working knowledge of P&IDs and process flow diagrams is preferred.
  • Oil and Gas field operations and/or process operating experience is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull and use repetitive hand and wrist movements. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 100 pounds. It is required to be available and mentally alert for entire regular 12 hr shifts/schedules.

  • Ability to operate a computer, printers, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  • Able to work through all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels.
  • Able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Able to wear all required PPE.
  • Able to use a computer terminal – hand dexterity.
  • Able to work at heights.
  • Able to drive a company vehicle with standard equipment.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and remain alert during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to work or field locations, and/or to attend meetings or training.
  • Able to work 12 hours swing shifts, possible extended shifts to 14 hours, holidays, weekends and overtime as directed by supervision.
