Crest Health Care is Hiring a Director of Business Development Near Jacksonville, IL

Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Jacksonville, IL is looking for a Director of Business Development to join our team!

It is the duty of the Director of Business Development (DBD) to manage the facility inquiry process & admission process and provides customers with facility related information via facility tours, personal visits/assessments, conversations and follow-up. The DBD coordinates and implements effective facility sales and marketing programs.

Maximize and maintain Census Development.

Makes sales calls outside the facility to hospital discharge planners and providers. Develops and maintains relationships to advise referral sources of bed availability and new products and service, and efficiently meets the daily needs of the community at large. Maintains a current database of existing and potential referral sources. Utilizes the CRM and keeps up to date with current info. Know your customers.

Know your Medical Director(s). Be able to work with them at any given time and assist them in any of their needs.

Educate senior organizations, insurance, legal and financial professionals, appropriate special interest groups, & other community contacts on what your facility has to offer. See attached outreach opportunity listing.

Coordinates and assists in the development and implementations of 30-day rotation & quarterly marketing plans.

Serves as chairperson for monthly marketing team meetings, monitors and tracks results.

Monitors inquiry, admission and census trends. Monitors all active and inactive inquiries. Keeps in contact with facility when waiting on response and keep CM up to date.

Maintains a working knowledge of Federal and state regulations and reimbursement (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Insurance Coverage, VA Benefits, Legislative Regulatory Issues, etc.)

Assists in training of all staff on proper phone etiquette, after hours and weekend inquiry and admission process.

Responds to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families and other referral sources in a timely manner with appropriate follow up.

Maintains in CRM medical contacts/community resources. Have knowledge of the industry trends and legislative/regulatory issues and communicates this information to facility Administrator.

Assists in the screening process of referrals if contacted by the facility administrator &/or staff. Able to screen patient for placement at the hospital setting, other nursing facilities, assisted living settings, at home or some other community base. Able to assess if your facility can meet the medical, psycho-social and financial needs of the person. Communicate to appropriate staff of admission. Post admissions to the facility admissions chat.

Maintain open communication with Director of Nursing, Admissions (if you have a person different within your facility designated for this role) and Administrator

Develops and implements special events and presentations targeted at community education, establishing and maintaining status for the facility as the expert on skilled nursing, specialty programs, and rehabilitation care in the community.

Conduct facility tours when necessary.

Reach for continual improvement and feedback from our referral sources, families, residents and our community overall.

Assist in sending out thank you cards when appropriate.

Work toward reaching your facility census goals.

DBD will spend 85% of their time out of the facility marketing. ** NOTE- If dual job duties this percentage will be different. Speak with your Administrator and your VP of Business Development for expectations.

DBD will participate & assist with facility events.

DBD will participate in area health fairs, community events, parades, etc. and represent their facility/facilities in a professional manner.

The DBD reports directly to their prospective administrator and the VP of Business Development.

The DBD has an important part in completing the weekly Census Focus Calls. Please be prepared and on calls at the appropriate time. ** This is if facility has been instructed to be on a weekly call

Work with corporate PR department to manage the following: a. Social Media b. Advertisements for all events (e.g., flyers, invites) c. Local news coverage for events d. Television advertising and/or coverage e. Advertisement in local newspaper

ANSWERING YOUR WORK PHONE- It is part of the job duties to have your work phone with you at all times. If for some reason you are not going to be available, it is YOUR responsibility to speak with your Administrator to decide if someone needs to cover your phone for a period of time. Also, inform VP of Business Development who will be covering on any scheduled time off. *** After hours and on weekends… you must be responsible to answer your phone and/or messages in a timely manner. It is understood by all that you may not be able to answer at that very moment but, please return those calls as soon as possible.

NOTE- These Expectations may be altered from time to time depending on the job duties that may need to be completed to work for the good of each facility.
