Crescent Bank is looking for a talented professional to fill an open position as a Data Auditor. The Data Auditor is responsible for managing the data used for audit functions and develops analytics for use in auditing. The position requires the Data Auditor to develop relationships with business owners to accurately access and determine appropriate data sources, data usage methodology and requirement for audit use. Additionally, the Data Auditor is responsible for ensuring adequacy and effectiveness of audit tests and controls to ensure data, process and testing are all aligned for optimal audit results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify, design, and develop data analytics extract routines to support audit activities performed by the Internal Audit Team. Manager data extraction, storage, transformation, and processing through data analytics routines, and generate output for visualization/analysis by the Internal Audit Team. Use data analysis tools to automate audit testing and develop techniques for continuous auditing and analyzing large volumes of data. Interact with management and business partners to identify appropriate data source and data elements required for analytics, apply professional skepticism when assessing data sources and validating the completeness and accuracy of data received. Interact and collaborate with Internal Audit Team members in working towards departmental goals. Perform audit tests of controls by obtaining and analyzing audit evidence, preparing audit workpapers, evaluating test results, and drawing conclusions on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls. Execute on special projects and other assignments as requested by management. Works effectively as part of a team atmosphere to perform duties and achieve daily operational goals Meets productivity standards in accordance with Crescent Bank’s confidentiality policies and organizational values Performs additional duties as needed within the department Position Requirements: Master’s degree in Internal Audit, Data Analytics Preferred Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Experience building and supporting continuous audit monitoring programs. Strong quantitative, analytical, data intuition, problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analytic techniques. Strong knowledge and proficiency in extraction and analysis of data from a wide variety of financial systems, leveraging data analysis tools, SAS, Excel, Access and/or Microsoft SQL. Working knowledge of internal controls and auditing techniques.
