Senior Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist will be an integral member of the Innovation and Data Science team and will own the analysis, modeling, system design, and development of iCREF. This role will work with the team to build the data science elements of iCREF to help improve user experience and help drive the design and architecture of this product.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze and model structured data and implement algorithms to support analysis using advanced statistical and mathematical methods from statistics, machine learning, data mining, econometrics, and operations research
  • Utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed, to deliver insights, such as Alteryx, R, SAS, Python, Spark, PowerBI, and Tableau
  • Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations and educate others through insightful visualizations, reports and presentations
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, and uncover interesting trends and relationships

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree (PhD preferred) from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering
  • 3 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning, natural language processing
  • Work experience developing and deploying statistical models preferred
  • Agile experience: strong partnering with Engineering related to roadmap planning and strategy
  • Demonstrable experience in Supervised and Unsupervised learning – from Regression, Forecasting, Classification, to NLP, Decision and Search Algorithms
  • Experience working within healthcare and/or real estate environment strongly preferred
  • High level of problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer service.
