Position Summary This position is a part of the Risk Management department. Our risk professionals are tasked with identifying revenue opportunities and risk trends by monitoring the performance of our existing portfolio, growth opportunities, and general market trends. We develop and implement strategies for credit line increases, authorizations, collection, fraud, retention, and the sale of revenue-based products. In the role of Risk Analyst, you will be on a team of product owners with the primarily responsibility to optimize the Bank’s Credit Line Increase (CLI) program. This position will use your advanced analytic abilities to interpret vast amounts of complex data, produce and present portfolio reports, and recommend ways to improve our underwriting strategies. In this position, you can become a subject matter expert regarding all portfolio composition, loss rate calculation, forecasting, credit bureau attributes, profit & loss drivers, and portfolio scores. Summary of Essential Job Functions Create and enhance strategies that will increase customer card value and usageUtilize financial analytical skills and be able to read, interpret, and evaluate financial time-series tracking reports (including vintage analysis)Have fundamental knowledge of credit scoring, credit underwriting, and credit risk managementIdentify and execute revenue opportunities for new and existing account management programs, including but not limited to Credit Line Increases and Balance TransfersCompile data from the internal data warehouse and performing extensive data analysisMake recommendations based on well-constructed analytics and present their ideas to key stakeholders of the Bank.Position RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Math, or related field1 years analytical experience in Banking, Finance, or GamingTechnical competencies using SAS, Pythons, SQL and Excel are desiredEffective data mining skills and the ability to explain changing data dynamicsExperience in digital markets and online acquisitionsIntellectual horsepower with problem solving and analytical skillsKnowledge of financial analysis and profitability driversSelf-starter, who can work independently with a high degree of organization on several projects at one timeSufficient self-confidence and ability to propose new ideas/solutionsAbility to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of informationMust be proficient in financial modeling proceduresStrong knowledge of Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)Preferred (Not Required)Advanced degree Consumer Credit Card industry experience 5 years advanced use of SAS, Python or SQL
