The Global Health Training, Advisory and Support Contract (GHTASC) delivers effective global health programming to advance the mission of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Health (GH) through institutional support and workforce development services from junior, mid-level, senior and expert advisory and administrative professionals.
Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking an Information Specialist within USAID’s Bureau for Global Health, Emerging Threats Division (ETD) under GHTASC.
Summary Statement
The goal of USAID’s Global Health Security (GHS) Program managed by ID/ETD is to work with partner countries and the global community to build better preparedness for future health threats. GHS projects address the full spectrum of global health security including strengthening partner country capacity, workforce development, surveillance, risk identification and reduction, increased international support for global health security, outbreak response, and research and development. USAID’s GHS Program also implements the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) with other USG Departments and Agencies.
The Information Specialist is a member of the Emerging Threats Division (ETD) within the Office of Infectious Disease and will work with the team coordinating infectious disease outbreak response in close coordination with USAID bureaus and offices; USG interagency; and external partners. Coordinating outbreak response includes working closely with USAID Missions to support on-the-ground response needs as well as ensuring alignment with interagency and global response strategies.
Job Requirements
The Information Specialist will support outbreak response through developing and disseminating information to effectively communicate characteristics of outbreaks and USAID’s response role and actions. The Information Specialist is responsible for compiling and organizing epidemiologic, programmatic and budgetary data for a variety of products aimed at a diverse audience, including USAID, U.S. interagency, external partners and the public.
