Creative Security is Hiring a Security Officer - Flex Near San Jose, CA
Creative Security Company, Inc. is seeking experienced security officers to join our team in the San Jose and South Bay Area. We are offering full-time flex officer positions, starting at $20-$21/hr.
Specific Duties and Essential Functions:
- Perform security patrols of designated areas using company vehicle or on foot
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden items
- Monitor entrances and exits of assigned facilities and permit authorized persons to enter
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and any suspicious activities
- Provide assistance to customers and employees in a professional manner
Requirements:
Education, Licenses, and Length of Experience Required:
- Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must posses a valid California Driver's License
- Must have a clean DMV driving record, 3 years preferred
Skills Required:
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- The ability to speak, read and write in English, clearly and concisely
- Attention to detail
- Active listening skills
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive for long periods of time
- Previous experience driving a security mobile vehicle a plus
- The ability to use good, independent judgment and discretion
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of personnel and the general public
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Ability to work at multiple client locations within a 30-50 mile radius and throughout the San Jose and South Bay Area
- Must be able to work flexible schedules and cover call-off's and vacations
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to work over-time, if needed
$19-$21 per hour
