CREATIVE LIQUID COATINGS is Hiring a Tool and Die Maker Near Kinards, SC

SUMMARY

Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.

· Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations

· Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining

· Sets up and operates machine tolls such as lathes, milling machine, sharper, and grinder, to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications

· Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.

· Examines standards or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of parts.

· Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of products.

· Ability to work on hot runner and manifold systems. Diagnose issues and repair

· Perform injection tooling PM’s when tools are removed from the presses.

· Support TS16949 initiatives.

· Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school: or six months to one year related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively read and interpret blue prints;

ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, groups of associates,

management representatives, suppliers and customers. Ability to utilize computerized word processing and

e-mail systems in the day-to-day functions of the job.

Reasoning Ability:

Requires analytical and problem-solving knowledge, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee if frequently required to walk: use hands to finger, handle or feel: reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat or cold may be encountered. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Work will typically be from eight to ten hours per day, five days a week, with occasional travel, by car or commercial aircraft, for external meetings with customers. Must be able to travel on short notice both nationally and internationally.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.83 per hour
