Seeking an energetic and compassionate professional who understands the importance of early intervention. The successful candidate will work closely with children who have speech and language difficulties, and will create a plan of care aimed at facilitating language acquisition. The Speech Language Pathologist will track progress towards goals and will consult with parents to understand the factors affecting their child's success or failure.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the importance of treating children and their families with compassion, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of child development.
• Engage in regular professional growth through continuing education, meetings, workshops, and other events.
• Administer speech, language, and hearing assessments for children.
• Provide therapy to the child in accordance with age-specific needs.
• Communicate with parents and teachers to discuss treatment results and develop an individualized treatment plan for each child.
• Work in a variety of work environments such as daycares, schools, rehabilitation centers, medical offices, etc.
