Our client is in the logistics and transportation industry that is looking to add a dedicated and hard working Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the finance team and have the ability to learn the financial operations of the business.
Financial Analyst Job Responsibilities
- Perform gross margin and profitability analysis by lines of business and customer
- Analyze information and determine the next course of action
- Prepare financial reports, ad hoc financial analysis, financial modeling, and financial projections
- Assist in the consolidation of monthly financial reporting packages for the executive team
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and other support for the CFO
- Reconcile AP/AR, General Ledger, and bank statements, researching & correcting discrepancies
- Perform journal entries and accruals as needed during month-end close
- Process supplier invoices
- Review vendor statements of accounts to insure accounts are paid timely and any issues are resolved
Financial Analyst Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in retail, logistics, or transportation
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Financial Analyst has the ability to work independently
