Cream is Hiring an Operations Supervisor Near Oakland, CA

Job purpose:

The Operations Supervisor is the front line support for the warehouse and operations at Cream Co. This role provides all the basic functions of warehousing, fulfillment, and delivery operations at Cream Co. The Operations Supervisor takes on specific projects and coordination activities at Cream Co. to facilitate the smooth transition of goods and materials between Cream Co North & South, as well as tracking all operational KPIs and reporting back to management.

Early morning and evenings receiving & fulfillment operations require the Operations Supervisor to coordinate receipt of goods at the warehouse for immediate distribution, making sure all compliance steps are completed, and making adjustments to fulfillment as necessary. The Operations Supervisor will need to assist with completing all the administrative tasks necessary for executing on the daily operations of Cream Co. including receiving, fulfillment, inventory counting, and other duties as assigned.

This role requires:

  • Responsible for all operational activities on the warehouse floor at Cream Co.
  • Complete these basic operations:
  • Receiving
  • Warehousing & inventory management
  • Deliveries & Fleet Management
  • Staffing and scheduling
  • Cycle Counting
  • Sorting / Organization
  • Freezing / Slacking process
  • Organizing and assisting in Facilities maintenance
  • This includes completing the needed administrative tasks such as;
  • Reporting
  • Routing & Distribution Planning

  • Safety minded, always looking for and diffusing unsafe situations. Furthermore, implementing corrective actions to reduce or eliminate future risk.
  • Understand & support SOP, GMP, HACCP & SSOP directives at Cream Co. Assist with the execution of each compliance step.
  • Impeccable record keeping is paramount to compliance

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to work in walk-in coolers and freezers (temperatures as low as -10°F)

Physical Requirements:

Lift/Carry Abilities (measured for maximum or average load)

  • Lift – 50 lbs
  • Carry strength (50’ or less) – 50 lbs
  • Frequent lift/carry (> 12x/hour) – 50 lbs
  • Constant lift/carry (> 30x/hr) – 20 lbs
  • Occasional Push/Pull (> 5x/hour) – 450 lbs

Physical Aptitudes (rated based on level of skill involved)

  • Agility/dynamic balance 80-100%
  • Finger dexterity – 80-100%
  • Manual dexterity – 80 – 100%

Posture Tolerance (rated based on frequency or time involved)

  • Stand/walk – constantly
  • Reach above shoulder level – occasionally
  • Twist/turn head – frequently
  • Bend over/stoop – occasionally
  • Climb steps/ladder – occasionally
  • Kneel/squat - occasionally

Compensation and Benefits:

  • This position is a full time 40 hours per week position. M-F
  • Base Pay: $45,000-$65,000
  • Health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 10 days PTO accrued per year after 90 day waiting period

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
