Crane Holdings Co is Hiring a Supply Chain Analyst Near CA, CA

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join our Procurement Team in Burbank, CA

The Supply Chain Analyst interprets results using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical / quantitative analysis to complex data mining. Conduct inventory trend analysis and assist procurement in making buy decisions and assist inventory manager on root causing the inventory shrinkage, E&O, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs data extraction, analysis, and summarization.
  • Creates and maintains the standard reporting packages for department and senior leadership.
  • Provides data analysis support for other initiatives and departments including extraction of key data elements.
  • Conduct ah-hoc analysis related to forecasts, KPIs/Metrics, and inventory management.
  • Report on supply - demand mismatch issues and make recommendations to senior management. 
  • Collaborates with planning, procurement, logistics, and CSR functions and present solutions to optimize inventory and assists in achieving inventory turns as per company goals and requirements.
  • Pursues proactive process improvements to align with best practices using system knowledge (Oracle), MS Excel / Access, Hyperion, etc.
  • Performs inventory reduction function through research, analysis, design, programming, implementation and coordination of accurate and timely reporting systems. Ensures integrity of databases and program files.
  • Participates in monthly performance reports / presentations to senior leadership.
  • Develops and enhances materials planning processes and procedures in collaboration with other departments.
  • Makes continuous updates and improvements in safety stock, ROP/ROQ, lead times, cost and inventory strategies using best practices, ISO procedures, logistics and statistical principles. 

Minimum Requirements :

  • Ability to create and present models or summarized data for decision making in standard office suite of products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Thorough understanding of MRP systems to analyze and provide solutions
  • Must have experience creating complex queries
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects, large data sets, and strict timelines.
  • Must be extremely well-organized.
  • Detailed knowledge data analysis and Statistical functions
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation techniques and tactics
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). 

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Minimum Education - 4 years college degree from a recognized institution (Master degree in related discipline will be preferred)
  • Required professional work experience and knowledge to perform the job functions.
  • Strong computer skills (MRP (especially Oracle), Hyperion, Crystal, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Certifications in the field would be a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • Requires approximately 10% travel to support customers

Standing: 20% * percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Sitting: 80% * percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Lifting (in pounds ): up to 10 pounds

Pushing (in pounds): up to 10 pounds

Mental/Visual: use of computer

Workspace: work desk

Special Work Conditions:

  • Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and work with multiple internal/external customers.

Salary range: $72,085 to $94,132. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
