Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer who has an Electrical Engineering background and and aptitude for Circuit Analysis to join on our cohesive, high-performing Custom Power Engineering team in Lynnwood, WA.
As Systems Engineer, you will be responsible to support the systems engineering activities (concept, requirements development, design, development, integration test and problem resolution) within a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. The Systems Engineer applies structured processes while responsible for multiple independent tasks, working with internal and external customers ensuring their satisfaction.
This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for all systems aspects from initial product research, system architecture definition, requirements definition, systems verification, requirements management and flow down to functional engineering groups to meet customer needs.
Supports the planning, modeling, simulation, and integration of components into flight critical electronic systems for airborne applications such as Transformer Rectifier Units, Power Conditioning Units and Battery Chargers.
Acts as a focal for and coordinates activities between Integrated Product team members: electrical, mechanical, safety, reliability, and test engineering.
Maintains hardware and software configurations during development, integration, flight test and certification.
May participate in the certification compliance activities of essential and critical level control systems for aircraft applications.
Executes projects in accordance with schedules and budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Science/Engineering field.
5 years of relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) highly desirable.
Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools (e.g. MatLAB/Simulink) desirable.
Knowledge of SAE ARP4754, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and MIL specs is a plus.
Self-motivated / Ability to prioritize / Strong time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Excellent planning, analytical and decision making ability.
Demonstrated proficiency with verbal and written English for technical reports, presentations, analyses, or other communications at the appropriate level throughout the organization.
Excellent customer interface skills and ability to effectively present technical material to customers.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment displaying teamwork, cooperation, respect and integrity.
Project oriented and able to multi-task.
Computer skills that include MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Outlook.

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats
