Craig Technologies is Hiring a DevOps Engineer Near Fairfax, VA
- Accelerate development and deployment of Tactical Control System software
- Build pipelines for containerizing and deploying microservices and applications to a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment
- Develop and deploy tools to improve flow of value to the customer
- Migrate existing legacy system to microservice/PaaS environment
- Experience building and deploying software to Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Cloud environments
- Familiarity with building software in Java, Javascript, or C
- Experience with Podman, Docker, or other container technologies
- Hands on experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, and other C/CD tools
- Proficiency performing software development in a Linux environment
- Solid Bash and Python scripting experience
- Familiarity with open source development frameworks such as Spring, Node.JS, Angular, React
- Familiarity using open source RDMS databases such as MariaDB, MySQL
- Strong work ethic and discipline
- Excellent technical communication and organizational skills
- An active interest in continuous learning and operational improvements
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8S), especially in air-gapped environment
- Certification in Kubernetes, AWS, or Redhat Linux
- Experience using open source messaging products such as AMQP, Kafka, gRPC, REST
- Previous experience with the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System
- Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team environment
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply new information
