Crafted Hospitality is Hiring a Full-Charge Bookkeeper Near New York, NY
Crafted Hospitality began with Tom Colicchio and the opening of Craft in 2001. Since that time, our footprint has continued to expand but our mission remains unchanged: Make People Happy.We are looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper with restaurant experience to join our growing accounting team! This position is flexible with a minimum of 30 hours per week. The candidate can split their time between the office and their home, making it a hybrid position, so long as they have access to the internet or they are welcome to come into the office full time! We do require the candidate to travel throughout New York City when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate accounting and cash handling
- Knowledge of basic Accounting principles
- Data entry
- Processing Payroll
- Interacting with managers, guests, employees, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
- Administration and filing of documents and paperwork
- Knowledge and use of Compeat, Quickbooks, Restaurant365 or similar restaurant Accounting software
- Demonstrating accuracy and attention to details
- Multitasking and prioritizing as well as working independently
Qualifications:
- Experience processing payroll in a multi-unit restaurant or hospitality organization
- Bookkeeping principles/knowledge needed
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback
- Knowledge of Accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of math and computation skills
- Ability to learn new software and programs
- Ability to travel around New York City
