About the Associate Buyer Position As the Associate Buyer you will perform transactional activities to assist in procuring necessary material and services to satisfy project needs and support internal customers. You will also assist others in the Procurement department to ensure adequate and proper documentation is maintained and with basic data collection activities. You are someone who has a passion for customer service, is results focused, and has a continuous improvement mindset. What You Get to Do: Process requisitions into purchase orders for the procurement of goods and services, as assigned by Buyers and Category Managers. Ensure purchase orders are issued in compliance with Company policies and procedures, such as competitive bid requirements and award justification documentation. Process PO change orders, as required. Partner with internal customers, as well as suppliers and contractors to resolve invoicing issues that do not align with Purchase Order requirements. Administer and maintain the Oracle Procurement Vendor Master and Oracle Item Master Catalog. What You Bring to the Table: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) from an accredited educational institution. Ideally, 3 years general business experience. Solid understanding of basic procurement principles. Has a business acumen. Sound judgement skills. Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
