Job Description

United Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, Inc. d/b/a Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited) is one of New York City's largest multi-service and most wide spread Community Living Organizations with programs dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

CP Unlimited operates an extensive community based living program, day habilitation programs, and community habilitation services. CP Unlimited focuses on giving people the personal, social, and vocational supports needed to live in their communities.  Care coordination is provided to assist persons with disabilities and their families in gaining access to service and support appropriate to their needs. CP Unlimited also provides rehabilitation, nursing, vocational services, behavioral, dietary and Article 16 services including counseling, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
All CP Unlimited programs are provided within a warm, caring environment, utilizing person-centered planning to identify and address the specific needs of each person. We believe this approach gives the people we serve the best chance to achieve the greatest success. 

Currently CP Unlimited is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative support to all areas of human resources, which include recruitment, retention, benefits and employee relations. This position is located in downtown Manhattan, salary range is $45,000-55,000 annually depending upon experience. 

Specific position duties include: 

  • Processing changes and updates to employee’s statuses in HRIS platforms.
  • Performing required various compliance background checks in compliance with Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and other State/Federal Agencies. 
  • Preparing job postings internally/externally.
  • Creates and distributes various reports, which include anniversary, employee bio data, license renewals, disability, I-9, vacancies, and new hire/terminations on a regular basis and as needed. 
  • Prepares unemployment insurance questionnaires and follows up as needed with information needed.  
  • Assists with worker’s compensation, disability claims as needed.
  • Prepares new hire files according to Agency policy and conducts new hire reporting in compliance with NYS Department of Labor.
  • Prepares employee correspondence and distributes as required.
  • Assists in recruitment by screening and participating in interviews as needed. Attends job fairs and assists in job fair preparation.
  • Responds to requests from current and former employees. Assists in Audits as needed. 

Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree is required (preferably in Human Resources). 
At least 1-2 years in Human Resources in a similiar role is required.
