CP Flexible Packaging is Hiring a Quality Technician - 3rd Shift Near Buffalo, NY

C-P Flexible Packaging is now hiring 3rd shift Quality Technician

Sunday - Thursday 102:45pm - 6:45am

up to $23/hour to start

Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
  • Responsible for monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Responsible for the correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.
  • Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
  • Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
  • Ensures and educates employees on quality expectations.
  • Collect product samples for the Quality lab.
  • Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications.
  • Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected “real time” when feasible.
  • Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.
  • The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of cGMP’s (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.

  • Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
  • Prior experience in food environment a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, and in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
  • Flexible availability: we work night and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must be able to make immediate decisions on disposition.
  • Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift to 50-80 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing ladders

· Ability to work with high temperature materials

· Ability to work with chemicals for cleaning
