COYOTE is Hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer (Security) Near Chicago, IL

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing technology solutions across the enterprise to surpass business and customer expectations, working in the Server Engineering team. Working in a collaborative environment with other IT peers you will help propel Coyote and its technology forward to meet the business needs and goals. Essential Functions: Collaborating with peers to design, install, configure, optimize, administer, and support Microsoft Cloud Technologies Daily support of Windows Environment and Active Directory/Azure AD administration. Manage Enterprise Applications, Microsoft Defender Suite, RBAC, and Service Principals within Azure and on prem technologies as needed. Act as a liaison between the Server Engineering and Information Security Teams to support security initiatives and implementation of defined policies Provide exceptional technical support to all colleagues and customers. Resolve escalated help desk tickets and provide after-hours (rotational) support as needed for problem, resolution, and root cause analysis. Interact with vendors for quotes, support, new technologies, and vendor relationship tasks. Analyze metrics to identify optimization opportunities and utilization/capacity trends. Document Standard Operating Procedures for the team to follow and share ideas and concepts with technology leaders on best practices and server policies. Maintain and communicate project plan and status updates proactively. Complete other projects and duties as assigned. Required Experience: Minimum 8 years technical experience in an IT operations role. 5 Years Microsoft Azure cloud operations experience Understanding of Azure Access control (IAM) and role-based access. Advanced working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory/Azure AD. Experience working with Azure storage - Blobs and Files. Skilled with Cloud-based Networking concepts. Familiarity with command line tools such as PowerShell, AZCli or kubectl. Understanding of monitoring in Azure - Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc. Advanced troubleshooting skills and analysis skills to drive root cause analysis. Extremely motivated with a strong desire to deliver consistent & exceptional results in an exciting and growing company. Candidate should be accustomed with the concepts of “Sense of Urgency”, “Duty to Communicate” and “Accountability”. Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral communication. The ability to see the “big picture” and scope requirements to the organization’s direction. Preferred Skills & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience AZ-500 Certification or other related certifications Experience with Microsoft Defender: Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps, Vulnerability Management Experience managing a hybrid cloud environment. Advanced with PowerShell scripting experience a plus. Advanced working knowledge and experience of VMware Previous experience in a fast-paced brokerage or trading firm is a plus Work Environment & Physical Demands: This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
