WHAT WE OFFER The Mechanical Engineer IV is responsible for the technical operability of a plant, assuring technical availability and reliability of the assets as well as process optimization. They also oversee Operational Equipment Efficiency improvements through technical applications, and they take safety, environmental, economic, quality and compliance aspects into account in their actions and decisions. Major Responsibilities Accountable to develop, implement an evergreen reliability strategy for their area of responsibility and align the reliability targets with the business targets of the BU. Accountable for the mechanical integrity of assigned assets Responsible for plant maintenance to ensure production output and maintenance cost targets are met and improved and accountable for maintenance budgets in their assigned cost centers. Responsible for participating in the development of maintenance budget in area of responsibility Responsible for assuring shutdown and turn around scope aligns with the asset management strategy for the unit and best-known Engineering practices Define scope and be accountable for technical acceptance of plant modifications, from the reliability perspective, which can include small projects (DTS) to the mid-size range (< 2 M euro.) Pursue troubleshooting, failure analysis, scoping of more complex problems and handoff to defect elimination. Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis on mechanical failures Accountable to maintain and safeguard the as-built plant documentation standards and drawings in their area (Documentum / I-PEP) Accountable for Management of Change and the subsequent modifications to the assets. Supports unit specific HSE issues Makes decisions with designated assignments. Produces anticipated results to business or technical goals with supervision of progress and results. Shows full comprehension and active participation in the work processes. Develop and manage capital projects < $2 M Euros WHAT YOU OFFER Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree with 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree with 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Foundational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Knowledge of extrusion equipment operation and processes Knowledge of RCA (root cause analysis), DE (defect elimination), and FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) concepts and applications Knowledge & Skills: Foundational knowledge of rotating and static equipment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as a team member Ability to interact professionally with management in various departments Ability to interact professionally with global upper management Demonstrate self-directed and non-authoritative leadership skills Proficient knowledge of maintenance and reliability concepts Effective analyzing skills and structured working style Procedural knowledge of application and decision making in reliability procedures/work processes (i.e., planning, scheduling, execution) Knowledge of reliability methods and techniques, and best practices (including but not limited to vessel repair, lifting techniques, welding, vibration analysis, and precision maintenance Demonstrated knowledge of reliability work processes to ensure license to operate (Thermal Oxidizer) as well as to improve mechanical reliability and FAM cost (i.e., mechanical integrity, asset strategy management, failure mode effects analysis, defect elimination and continuous Improvement). Knowledge of techniques, methods and best practices to support this work. - i.e., non-destructive inspection technologies (asset management systems, autonomous maintenance systems, predictive maintenance, and application of engineering standards, etc. Proven knowledge of procedures/work processes (i.e., management of change, pre-startup safety reviews) Demonstrated knowledge of the capital process including but not limited to scoping, estimating, business case development, FEL 0, 1 2 with a comprehensive knowledge of techniques, methods and best practices for the management of capital investments #IND123 #LI-AD1 YOUR APPLICATION Are you as curious, courageous and colorful as we are?
