Covera Health is Hiring a VP of Operations Near New York City, NY

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to join our team as Vice President of Operations. The VP will have overall responsibility for the Operations function across the organization, which includes successful implementation of new payer clients, strategic oversight for the operational performance of Covera programs, and management of third-party and other distribution channel relationships. The VP Operations will have overall accountability, and responsibility for managing, monitoring, and maturing the payer implementation processes and the day-to-day operational performance of Covera programs, which includes the complex operational processes and procedures that govern Covera’s data collection, ingestion, processing, and storage infrastructure, and integrations with strategic partners. Ultimately, this enables Covera Health to deliver clinical intelligence and quality insights to providers and improve care quality and outcomes for patients. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with leaders across the Company, including Engineering, Product, Provider Engagement, Data Science, AI and Sales. 

You will be expected to:

  • Become the go-to leader across the organization who has a detailed understanding and continues to refine and scale our E2E operational processes, supporting systems and cross-functional interdependencies, how they’re performing, and how Covera delivers value to providers and payers through our products
  • Design operational goals and metrics that align with the Company’s near-term goals and milestones, and provide oversight and active monitoring to ensure they are achieved
  • Lead the strategic development, growth, and scaling of the Ops team, including team growth and development, resource needs and capacity planning, and organizational design
  • Identify and prioritize operational objectives and potential risks, and provide leadership and guidance to the Operations team leads to implement, track and measure success and mitigate risks
  • Develop the next phase of the Company’s operational roadmap, in close collaboration with cross-functional leaders, to project and support Covera’s future growth in a scalable and efficient manner
  • Work with Operations team leads and teams to review, monitor, and measure ongoing operational processes to ensure reliability and accuracy
  • Evaluate new and ongoing operational processes to identify and drive improvements that will increase scale, efficiency, and quality
  • Serve as a strategic sponsor of key relationships with third-party vendors and partners, providing guidance and direction to Operations team leads who are managing the D2D interactions
  • Cultivates a culture of positivity, teamwork, and collaboration

Your Profile

  • BA or BS required
  • 10-12 years operations experience, some of which ideally is in a high-growth startup environment
  • Minimum 5 years of people and team management experience with a proven track record of growing and developing high-functioning teams
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working effectively in a matrixed environment with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Seasoned leader comfortable leading through change and ambiguity with the ability to connect dots across complex and dynamic processes and systems
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute, including how to sequence events and milestones, plan resources, execute against tight timelines and measure progress and success
  • High emotional intelligence who can interface and extend leadership cross-functionally and externally
  • An analytical, data-driven decision-maker who is comfortable rolling up sleeves in data/analyses when needed
