This position ensures the timely movement of all palletized freight within a work area. The ability to comfortably operate material handling equipment in a safe, controlled, and productive manner within the environment is critical to this position. Associates must have prior forklift experience and be able to pass onsite certification as well as onsite observation in order to qualify for this position. Associates must be able to maintain all MHE safety policies and procedures without issue during probationary period in order to maintain this position.
• Maintain baseline productivity goals on a daily basis.• Ensure work quality meets customer standards on a daily basis.• Maintain clean work environment and housekeeping standards at all times. • Keep steady pace for continuous work flow throughout the day. • Follow up with lead in timely manner on work completion and task assignment.• Remain polite, respectful, and professional at all times within work area. • Adhere to all attendance and punctuality standards and expectations. • Assist labor group in achieving safety, productivity, and quality standards with the utilization of MHE. • Adhere to all MHE safety policies and procedures when operating the lift.• Ensure timely movement and work flow of all palletized bulk goods for daily work completion. • Assist lead in departmental management of freight according to FIFO standards to maintain customer expectations. • Provide timely feedback to management on inventory discrepancies in relation to assigned workload. • Complete assigned workload within estimated time frames based on labor intensity. • Maintain strict housekeeping standards while working within environment.
