Covenant House Northern New Jersey is Hiring a Development Associate (Special Projects) Near Newark, NJ

  • Serve as the Ambassador for all Sleepout and Student Initiatives
  • Recruit schools, student groups, and organizations for Sleep Out: Student Edition
  • Executing event management and website registration
  • Prospect, recruit, coach through Sleep Out process
  • Grow and maintain student relationships year round in an effort to increase student sleep outs
  • Recruit prospects for all major Sleep Out editions year round
  • Maintain ongoing and regular communication with P2P fundraisers while their events are active and off-season
  • Support DIY initiatives by maintaining the website, marketing DIY, and managing ongoing projects
  • Support Young Professional Board by developing activities and tracking their engagement
  • Support annual Young Professional Sleep Out which includes leadership roles in prospecting, recruiting, coaching and engaging event participants
  • Coordinate and supervise immersion opportunities for our donors (tours, projects, etc.)
  • Organize and maintain electronic and document files
  • Participate with fundraising affairs and special events which be outside of normal business hours
  • Ensure that information regarding donors and prospects learned in the course of cultivation and solicitation is added to the fundraising database systems- Sales Force
  • Manage & Support Social Media, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube,
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Development and Development Leadership
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Covenant House Departments
  • Required to check company e-mail daily
  • All Other duties assigned by management staff
  • MUST be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Bachelors’ degree
  • 1-3 years non-profit experience
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Canva Publisher, and Google Docs
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal and verbal skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to managed multiple assignments
  • A valid New Jersey driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
