JOB OVERVIEW

As a Housekeeper, your primary goal is to ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining immaculate guest rooms and preparing them for occupancy. Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, you will perform routine cleaning and servicing tasks in guest rooms and bathrooms. In this role, you play a crucial part in creating a positive impression of our property, and your friendly and accommodating demeanor will be essential in addressing guest requests and resolving any issues.

Starting Pay: $15.00

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures. This includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, emptying trash, and more. Tasks may also involve cleaning room refrigerators and coffee/tea makers.
• Utilize provided safety equipment in compliance with departmental regulations and local legislative requirements.
• Handle and store chemicals following hotel regulations and any relevant local legislation.
• Greet and acknowledge guests courteously.
• Notify the supervisor when your service is complete, ensuring that the room can be made available for sale or occupancy. Report any rooms that cannot be serviced according to established procedures.
• Promptly report any necessary repairs or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Adhere to established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
• Address guest complaints and special requests while taking action to ensure their satisfaction.
• Keep a close eye on supplies and amenities, minimizing waste throughout all housekeeping areas.
• Report, turn in, or log all lost and found items as per established procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members and communicate with various departments following hotel procedures to uphold exceptional quality and service.
• Occasionally assist with deep cleaning projects.
• Perform turndown duties as assigned.
• Fulfill other duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and capable of efficient work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
