The Courtyard by Marriott Hershey Chocolate Avenue (managed by Shaner Hotels) is now seeking a Front Desk Manager to join our dynamic team!
The Front Desk Manager will be responsible for the successful operation and administration of all front office departments. The ideal candidate will have a combination of education, and training/experience that provides the required skills such as hiring and onboarding, training, coaching, preparing schedules, performing mathematical computations and maintaining proper security of all cash funds. This position requires the ability to continually balance the department while focusing on providing an exceptional experience to every guest and maximizing profitability at the same time. We are seeking an energetic, service-oriented team-player who can effectively direct, train, coach, motivate, engage and provide feedback to the front office staff, supervisors and managers on a daily basis in accordance with the standards of Shaner Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott standards.

Qualifications - External
Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position, relative Marriott experience a plus. Knowledge of front desk procedures and protocol. Exceptional communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure front desk is tidy and has all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and informative leaflets)
- Train, supervise and support Front Desk Staff
- Schedule shifts
- Ensure timely and accurate customer service
- Handle complaints and specific customers requests
- Troubleshoot emergencies
- Monitor stock and order office supplies
- Ensure proper mail distribution
- Prepare and monitor office budget
- Schedules
- Ensure company’s policies are met
- Will act as MOD in the absence of General Manager or Asst. General Manager
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Front desk manager or Reception manager
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills
- Must have clear driving record
- Must be able to pass background and drug test
