SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Housekeeping Supervisor position is a hands-on position responsible for providing supervision and direction for all housekeeping activities of the hotel; ensuring the highest level of cleanliness;’ and maintaining guest satisfaction. The position is also responsible for ensuring efficient operations of the housekeeping department in accordance with the brand standards.

JOB DUTIES:
o This position is empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction.
o Display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times.
o Take pride in representing Duke Hospitality professionally with our guests.
o Assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal, ethical manner. o Comply with Company Standards of Service as outlined for Duke Hospitality.
o Project a favorable image of Duke Hospitality to the public at all times.
o Treats guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
o Complete Departmental, Duke Hospitality, and Brand standards training as assigned.
o Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times. A complete uniform (or business dress for non-uniformed associates) must be worn at all times in public areas, including name tag. o Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. o Manage the daily operation in maintaining the cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation of the guest rooms, public space, and back of house areas.
o Utilizes provided systems for inspecting and managing the quality of housekeeping and laundry services provided and to ensure timeliness and efficiency of services.
o Oversees inspection of housekeeping/laundry activities to ensure procedures are followed according to standards. o Attract, retain, and motivate housekeeping associates while providing a safe work environment.
o Interview, hire, schedule, develop, empower, and discipline all housekeeping associates as required. o Supervise and inspect the daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and back of house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs and health/sanitation standards and regulations.
o Develop a close day-to-day working relationship with other key members of management.
o Compiles and reports information on housekeeping activities and expenses, provides information to guest services on the status of guest rooms to ensure accurate and timely reporting on room availability.
o Follows up on maintenance repairs and coordinates with maintenance department to ensure hotel quality standards are met.
o Maintain Lost and Found.

Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Inspectors, House Persons

QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
o High School Diploma required;
o Prior experience in utilization and functionality of brand hired for.
o Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred o Minimum of 2 years experience

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
