What You Will Do

As the Analytics Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Building and supporting data transformation pipelines using our data warehouse (BigQuery) and data modeling tool (DBT).
• Designing and documenting core data models used by reporting analysts.
• Helping to build reporting tables by creating KPI calculations from source data through to consumption in data visualization tools.
• Working with the Head of Analytics to define and prioritize the analytics roadmap.
• Working with technical and non technical stakeholders to make data driven decisions. 
• Building and maintaining pipelines between various platforms and bigquery including Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter

You may be a good fit if you:

• Like working in a startup environment where sometimes priorities change rapidly. 
• Have extensive SQL experience (BigQuery preferred)
• Can set up analytics infrastructure and work independently without much oversight.

• Have the ability to be creative and personable, and articulate ideas clearly.
• Have proficiency with Python and or another object-oriented programming language (R, Java, Scala, etc…)
• Have knowledge of Google Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Build or comparable cloud computing services.
• Have experience with git-based version control platforms, like Github, including CI/CD services, such as Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
• Have experience modeling using DBT or other analytics engineering services.
• Have at least one year of experience in data engineering and/or analytics.
• Are proficient in using visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker, etc. 

Bonus Points if you:

• Experience building modular and reusable ETL or ELT pipelines to cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift or Snowflake.
