Job Overview:

As our Senior Software Engineer for Coupang Media Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing critical systems to support Coupang’s fast business growth.

Coupang is investing in building a world-class online marketing business where we run relevant ads and promotions across our website and Mobile App. We are building the next generation of products and services to fuel Coupang business's future growth by providing self-service online marketing capabilities to our Sellers and Suppliers.

What You Will do:

We are looking for passionate software engineers to build the big data pipeline and highly scalable online systems. You will be working on search, recommendation, and machine learning technologies and systems to power and enhance our services. You are responsible for developing low latency, highly available, large-scale services and systems and building APIs for programmatic integrations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or electrical/electronic engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• 4 years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems
• 4 years of coding experience in Java
• Hands-on experience in building large scale data infrastructures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with handling large data volumes in a distributed environment – ideally with both backend data processing and web tier data management
• Ability and desire to drive solid design work on multi-threaded/multi-process, distributed system
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development
• Experience working with AWS (Amazon web services
• Experience in building machine learning applications and systems
• Experience in building search and recommendation systems and applications
