We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. Accounts payable duties include ensuring accuracy on all invoices, discounts and reconciliation of statements. Must have prior accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
• Prepare bills, statements and bank deposits
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve Members’ billing issues
• Facilitate payment of accounts receivable due by sending contacting clients
• Preparation of month end statements
• Preparation of W-9s and files 1099’s at year end
• Maintains copies of all Certificates of Insurance of vendors
• Process bills for final payment
• Other office duties as needed

Skills

• Proven working experience as accounts receivable & account payable or accounting
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, debits and credits, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
