The Citrix Engineer position provides technical leadership and is responsible for implementing the direction of the Citrix architecture, standards, and design approaches for the company’s systems and applications. This will involve developing and documenting detailed recommendations for cloud services, business areas, management, strategic planning, and implementation. The position will meet regularly with other areas of IT to determine technology requirements, offer technical advice, mentor, and lead efforts that impact design/selling success, or address future concepts, products or technologies.

ROLE

•  Interfaces with and provides technical leadership to others in the IT division and business areas to address ongoing business needs.
• Leads responsibilities for designing, configuring, implementing, and documenting new server-based applications and/or cloud services.
• Assesses all project information to understand the scope, the current IT and business environment, objectives, and priorities.
• Analyzes technical risks and advises on risk mitigation strategies.
• Provides support and troubleshooting for user access, system availability, and performance issues with core infrastructure systems including Cloud Services, Citrix technologies, and other enterprise applications.
• Oversees the design of virtual servers and workstations with multiple OS’s, including creating processes for provisioning, monitoring, governance, and upgrades.
• Researches, analyzes, and recommends changes required for system growth, standardization, and globalization.
• Manages best practices and make recommendations for process improvement.
• Provides trainings, knowledge transfers, and mentoring to junior and senior level Engineer on the team.
• Seeks opportunities to learn, automate, document, share, educate, and improve processes where appropriate.
• Understands and adheres to Costco’s Agile project methodology and framework.

REQUIRED

• Must have a minimum of eight years’ experience with virtual environments with the main focus being Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops.
• Minimum three years’ experience with Windows Server Operating systems in an enterprise environment.
• Minimum three years’ of experience with Networking and/or Netscalers.
• Proven experience in developing proposals for management with strong project management and planning skills.
• Strong organizational qualities in order to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize, and communicate project status to all applicable parties.
• Team player; friendly, communicative, open, honest, thoughtful, and committed. Must work cooperatively with others, sharing ideas, collaborating, and ultimately putting team goals first.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision.
•  Proven experience leading meetings and presenting complex information to clients of multiple skill levels.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong proven leadership skills.
•  Must be able to respond to crisis situations in a methodical way and to prioritize work effectively.

• Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V).
• CXD-400: Designing App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop.
• Experience administering Active Directory group policies in a large enterprise environment
