IT Asset Management (ITAM) entails collecting inventory, financial and contractual data to manage the IT Asset throughout its life cycle. ITAM depends on robust processes, with tools to automate manual processes. Capturing and integrating auto discovery/inventory, financial and contractual data in a central repository for all IT Assets enables the functions to effectively manage vendors and a software and hardware Asset portfolio from requisition through retirement, thus monitoring the Asset’s performance throughout its life cycle.

ROLE

Designs, develops, implements and documents Asset Management processes, procedures, and tools.

Identifies, organizes and maps the relationships between software, hardware, licenses, and other critical IT Assets.

Collects and interprets Asset data and works closely with external teams and vendors to ensure accuracy of the data.

Develops processes and procedures to deploy ITAM.

Supports software asset management, including: title onboarding, vendor management, license reconciliation, audit support and lead software asset management efficiency initiatives.

Provides subject matter expertise and technical leadership for the design and implementation of an ITAM solution.

Adheres to security guidelines and ensures compliance.

Manages asset movement, data, statuses and relationships to one another, ie software to hardware or hardware to software.

Reviews purchase orders, assists in receiving and reconciliation for asset acquisition.

Identifies asset types and creates new assets as required.

Assists with product stock room inventory and reconciliation.

Collects asset data, working closely with external teams and vendors to ensure accuracy.

Supports IT project and delivery teams providing asset oversight, guidance and project closure and reconciliation services.

Audits IT Asset Management (ITAM) database for accuracy and reconciliation of discrepancies.

Assists with US and Canada IT equipment and software inventory.

Supports software asset management, including, title on boarding, vendor management, license reconciliation, audit support and lead software asset management efficiency initiatives.

Identifies opportunities for streamlining, increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement.

REQUIRED

Working knowledge of Asset Management Life Cycle or Supply Chain methods and processes.

Working knowledge of Costco finance and accounting processes.

Working knowledge of ServiceNow / CARTS system.

Excellent organizational skills.

Detail-oriented and demonstrates the ability to research effectively.

Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheets, word processing tools and Costco internal financial systems.

Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving and customer service skills.

Must possess a positive attitude, ability to work independently, and be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with vendors and at all organizational levels of Costco.

Willingness to take direction and coaching; excellent team interaction.

Understanding of Costco Business operations.

Previous experience successfully managing multiple projects and tasks.

Must be flexible and adaptable to changes.

Able to work O/T as necessary.

Recommended

Understanding of ITIL and asset management industry best practices.

Must have strong knowledge and experience with asset management accounting practices.

Experience with relational databases and/or programming skills preferred.

Pay Range: $40.87 - $50.48
