JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the procurement of all products, equipment, supplies, and other purchases in the Club's centralized procurement program.
Primary Functions:
- Maintains the purchase order system; issues purchase orders for needed products, materials and service; monitors purchase orders to assure that deliveries are correct
- Obtains the best value at the lowest price consistent with established quality standards and delivery schedules
- Cooperates closely with various department heads relative to special function requirements, dealing with special menus, lines, etc.
- Manages the Purchasing Clerk to assure that established purchasing procedures are consistently followed
- Trains the Purchasing Clerk and plans professional development opportunities for them

Qualifying Experience and Education:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
