The Role:

As a Sales Account Executive (SAE), you will be a part of the Sales Team and focus on adding net new revenue to our Marketing Suite product line. The target market associated with this product line represents a huge opportunity for CoSchedule and we want someone who is eager to do the best work of their lives while supporting others in doing the same.

You will be responsible for delivering results against your own individual sales quota and you will be provided qualified leads to ensure you’re successful with this goal. You should expect a transactional & SMB sales cycle, all done remotely with no travel required. You should showcase excellent communication, curiosity, coach-ability, closing & deal-making skills to be successful in this role. You will partner with your teammates (Sales Team & Revenue Team) and across other teams (Marketing, Product, Executive, etc.) to maximize your individual and team results.

CoSchedule’s customers come first and this is a critical role, a linchpin role, to guiding them to find, purchase & successfully use CoSchedule’s products over their entire journey with our company. 

As a note, depending on experience, the title of this role could be Sales Account Associate. 

As a Sales Executive you will:

  • Achieve individual net new sales quotas on a consistent, quarterly basis
  • Guide new leads & prospects down the sales cycle starting at a discovery call to guiding the prospect to successfully close the sale with an accepted quote
  • Expected to build, maintain and nurture your pipeline every. day.
  • Acquire new leads by engaging with prospects via our freemium product offerings which align to the Marketing Suite
  • Partner with the the Sales Team to act on solving problems & pursuing opportunities within the sales process which could improve CoSchedule’s ability to deliver better results
  • Own the renewal process for customers within the Marketing Suite product line (applicable for SAE's)
  • Deploy & continuously improve renewal & expansion processes in collaboration with the Marketing & Customer Success Teams (applicable for SAE's) 
  • Effectively work with the Customer Success Team and individual Customer Success Managers to facilitate successfully sales to success handoffs
  • Sell to net new customers who have the opportunity to be a great fit customer – a customer who will use the product for many years
  • Build value-based relationships with customers and help map their needs to our solution
  • Ability to effectively manage both a transactional sales process & a consultatory sales process at the same time
  • Constantly connect with marketing executives and decision-makers of various stage companies to drive revenue
  • Participate in sales meetings and articulate market feedback to the entire team.
  • Maintain extreme knowledge about our product & even more knowledge about our market.
  • Maintain your own daily/weekly KPI’s as directed by leadership.

  • Experience in an account management or sales role, preferably in SaaS

  • Coffee is for closers. You know how to close the deal.
  • You thrive in a transactional & fast paced environment – deals are made in 30(ish) days and you love that!

  • All other duties as assigned.

The That’d Be Greats:

  • Prior experience in closing sales deals at the management & director level
  • Experience in marketing or sales for technology or SaaS products
  • Prior experience in an executive or marketing role.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SalesLoft and other sales tech tools
  • Have used the Marketing Calendar or Marketing Suite product lines
