We are a leading provider of Ambulatory EEG services in patients' homes. The Ambulatory EEG Technician performs high-quality EEG procedures in patients' homes that include Routine EEGs, ambulatory setups and disconnects. We are looking to hire team-oriented, self-motivated individuals who are excited to grow with us. The Ambulatory EEG Technician must be comfortable with going into patients' homes and performing Routine EEGs, setups and disconnects. You must demonstrate effective written and communication skills along with the ability to follow directions. You also must possess a valid driver's license, current BLS for healthcare CPR certification, exceptional technical and interpersonal skills, show extreme attention to detail and provide excellent patient service. Requirements Primary Responsibilities:
Driving to and from patients' homes to perform various EEG procedures
Performs standard and complex EEGs by measuring the patient's head, utilizing the International 10-20 Measurement System and applies electrodes to appropriate positions
Measures electrode impedance, calibrates and adjusts EEG machine
Obtains recordings, using activating procedures such as hyperventilation and physiological activations
Adapts methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on history, clinical observations and EEG findings
Meticulous data entry and reconciliation skills per CortiCare established protocols
Removes electrodes, disinfects and creates inventory of EEG recording devices from patient during the disconnect time
Uploads the ambulatory EEG study and attaching various documents onto Company servers
Job Requirements:
Unless otherwise agreed upon, the Ambulatory EEG Technician should have experience across pediatric and adult demographics
Friendly, patient, professional and has a courteous demeanor
Exceptional technical and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Organizational skills
Healthcare/medical experience, a plus
Valid driver's license
Valid BLS-Healthcare CPR Certification
Physical Requirements:
Lifting as many as two ambulatory EEG units, in and out of your vehicle to the testing site; An average case weighs less than 25 lbs
Ability to carry a unit and supplies up stairs
Ability to drive up to 6 hours in a day, as necessary
