Cortica is looking for a part time Physical Therapist to join our growing team in San Diego!

What will you do?

• Provide interventions to help an individual respond to information coming through the senses. Intervention may include developmental activities, sensory integration or sensory processing, and play activities.
• Facilitate play activities that instruct as well as aid a child in interacting and communicating with others.
• Devise strategies to help the individual transition from one setting to another, from one person to another, and from one life phase to another.
• Collaborate with the individual and family to identify safe methods of community mobility.
• Establish goals by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with the physician and collaborative treatment team.
• Help clients Improve physical or cognitive functioning by implementing programs involving functional activities to include: sensorimotor supports and strategies, educational, recreational, and social activities. You will work together with the team to incorporate multidisciplinary techniques that allow the child to flow from one therapy to another for consistency of treatment.
• Assess the motor skills of patients using a range of assessments and utilize the results to develop a patient care program and a therapy timeline.
• Carry out therapeutic interventions using the Cortica Care model -developing an individual treatment programs for children with autism based on an in-depth understanding of the child's neurobiology and developmental profile.
• Monitor patient progress in detailed reports and provide regular communication with patients, caregivers, and our staff.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on home exercise programs that complement therapy sessions.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy to ensure excellent standard of care.

What are the required qualifications?

• A Current California Physical Therapy License
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• 1 year pediatrics or autism experience

What are the preferred qualifications?

• Master’s degree or DPT
• Early Intervention Experience and/or Experience with autism

The base pay range for this opening is $38 to $42. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
