The Contract Coordinator reports directly to the Head of Payer Contracting & Credentialing and supports the processes necessary for Cortica’s expansion in existing and new states. The position will aid with the maintenance of the payer contract database, respond to internal and external payer contract-related inquiries, and coordinate with the revenue cycle management team and credentialing teams throughout the payer contracting process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Help with initial contracting/participation requests for Cortica’s entities in all states.
  • Help with organizing and updating internal contract trackers and databases.
  • Ensures payer records are created and properly stored and support current in contracting files, etc.
  • Help with the completion of payer applications.
  • Help with researching payer market share, products, and contracting processes for planned new state expansion.
  • Help with updating contract terms and renewal dates in Credential Stream.
  • Maintain W-9's and other entity information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with healthcare contracting or credentialing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
