The ideal candidate has a desire to help people, completes assignments thoroughly, and offers support wherever needed. This position is best suited for a detail-oriented team member who is comfortable interacting with internal and external partners. Responsibilities – What You Will Do:

How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

  • Provide administrative support to the research site such as: distributing mail, ordering supplies, organizing events, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Complete accounts payable transactions with high accuracy and perform any necessary follow ups with vendors.
  • Support contract administration, training and coordination for contractors and vendors.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding of temporary workers.
  • Manage and oversee the safety programs for the research station.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure equipment and supplies are available when needed.
  • Welcome visitors and business partners to the location for events such as: customer tours, field days, training sessions, customer events, or other related activities.
  • Support continuous improvement activities around safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Track documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Requirements – Who You Are:

  • You have a high school diploma/GED.
  • You have 2 years of administrative, accounting, or other related business office education/experience.
  • You have experience and proven proficiency in computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and tend to pick up quickly on new software.
  • You are flexible, able to handle multiple priorities at once and proactively solve problems.
  • You possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Your attention to detail and organizational skills are outstanding!
  • You seek opportunities to develop personal abilities and improve individual performance.
  • You are welcoming and engaging and love being the face of the business as you greet guests when they come in the door.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily day shift position, with overtime as required during peak seasons.
  • This position is 100% site dedicated at the York research location.

Preferences – It Would Be Great If You Have:

  • An associate degree or higher.
  • Project coordination experience.
  • Records management experience.
