JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Global Brand Operations is part of the Global Operations department, which is known for taking ideas into implementation across all brands, disciplines, and continents. This position is a key member of the Brand operations team, which defines and develops operational platforms and services with focus on Premium and Select Brands. This role will have a passion for supporting unique guest experiences, a commitment to operational efficiency for the hotels and will be responsible for execution and development of a specific set of products and/or services. The role collaborates with cross-functional projects and/or discipline teams to refine existing features to continually improve adoption and the overall guest experience. Key accountabilities include: serving as a content leader on sustaining new and existing projects and initiatives, and existing product and services standards for the mentioned Select and Premium Brands.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 Required Education and Experience

  • 2- or 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Industrial Design or related major; plus 5 years’ experience in Operations areas (e.g., Rooms, F&B, Retail, Spa, Fitness, etc.) or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Product and Service Support

  • Sustains and refreshes existing product and services
  • Responds to field questions around new and existing programs, platforms, and initiatives
  • Updates Marriott Global Source (MGS) with new or refreshed content
  • Creates alignment and documents new product and service standards
  • Provides technical and tactical operational design on existing projects
  • Creates Job Aids to support new, refreshed, or existing programs or initiatives
  • Collaborates closely across design, disciplines, and continent team
  • Uses systematic processes to solve Operational or design challenges
  • Is a thoughtful voice for the guest experience; constantly thinks about new and improved features that will create value
  • Gives and takes constructive feedback to improve designs and the development process
  • Travel Required: 10-40%

Vendor Relationships

  • Sourcing and Supply Change Management

Support to annual process

  • Provides updates to supporting tools for CAPEX and Operational Budgets
  • Provides content, feedback and updates as needed for Brand Standards Audit (BSA)
  • Provides updates and input to Cadence process and documents

Management of the design efforts for small scale Rooms discipline projects or initiatives

  • Is nimble, working to define requirement while simultaneously design for those requirements
  • Establishes project milestones and objectives
  • Works closely with Global Operations and Brand stakeholders to update, refresh, design, develop and deliver scalable solutions
  • Translates requirements into compelling customer driven and profitable product or service solutions
