About The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of our productivity and brand compliance solutions for Microsoft Office using Microsoft’s next-generation, web-based platform for Office add-in development–the Office JavaScript API (Office.js). Our add-ins are used by finance, consulting, marketing, and other clients to more efficiently create flawless, on-brand models, presentations, and documents in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, respectively. They are among the most advanced and complete add-ins ever developed for Microsoft Office. Key features include formula auditing, reliable linking between documents, shared libraries, brand compliance, formatting tools, and charting utilities.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Develop, design, maintain, and support Microsoft Office add-ins using modern web technologies
• Code extensively in familiar web languages (e.g., JavaScript, Typescript) and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and related ecosystems
• Maintain familiarity with the Office JavaScript API (Office.js) and capabilities of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Proactively suggest improvements to products and processes that enhance the client experience, improve performance, or increase efficiency
• Collaborate with senior management to set priorities and deadlines
• Design features and track their development timelines
• Maintain project and operational documentation
• Perform code reviews and approvals

About You

• Are familiar with modern software development practices and have at least 1-3 years of professional software engineering experience
• Have professional experience using modern web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
• Take deep pride in the quality of your work and write elegant, efficient code
• Share our passion for creating awesome products that customers love
• Enjoy engaging your mind to solve complex problems and build solutions end-to-end
• Prefer small, high visibility teams where your voice and contributions have an outsized impact
• Manage responsibility and autonomy well as a motivated, organized self-starter
• Communicate effectively with and enjoy frequent exposure to senior management

• C#, .NET, COM, VSTO, VBA experience preferred
• Background in financial technology preferred
